 MY GREATEST FEAR!!!Minimize

Well, we are “eight” days from a “new beginning” as Americans from across this country will culminate the voting process for the 44th President of the Unites States on Election Day --- Tuesday, November 4th.

Based on the data from all polls, Senator Barak Obama is on track to become the first African-American President in this country! According to a national Gallup poll, based on likely voters’ current voting intentions, Obama leads Senator John McCain by 9 points (52-43). And if the election was held today, both CNN and MSNBC report that Obama has surpassed the needed votes of the Electoral College to beat Senator John McCain. With the endorsement of all the major newspapers through out the USA, it appears that nothing can stop the momentum of the Obama campaign. There are even reports now of in-fighting and finger-pointing in the McCain campaign with reports that Governor Sarah Palen is going off-script being dubbed as “going rogue.”

So what is my greatest fear? That some lunatic and unbalanced person(s) is so hateful & angry at the thought of an Obama presidency, that there will be an attempt on his life. As I look at the Obama rallies where you have over 100,000 people in attendance, I shudder to think what could happen. Even as he shakes hands with supporters in the crowd, I see all those cell phone & digital cameras in his face and wonder has the Secret Service & local security been able to screen properly everyone who attends?

Why am I so fearful? I received a video link of a recent Palen political rally in Ohio (of all places). The comments from those who attended made it sound like more of a lynching than a rally. I very seldom pass on links, but I’ve included it with this blog so you can see & hear for yourself the comments that were made by those who attended. (I must warn you that I do not condone the responses that were given to the website, but after viewing the video you can see how this has angered many people.) These are the things that can incite people to do the “unthinkable!”

We must keep a prayer of protection around both Senators Obama and McCain. The adversary would seek an opportunity to bring a greater division to this country, at a time when we are on the threshold of a “call for unity.” We need to pray for what the scripture refers to as a “fire wall” of protection. “For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.” (Zechariah 2:6)

Yes, that’s my greatest fear. What’s your?

FEAR....False Evidence Appearing Real. With 365 admonishments in the scripture to: "Fear Not", (one for everyday of the year), I am not fearful. Yes, I am encouraged. We are encouraged to watch as well as pray, so let's do that and not allow the tactic from the enemy to ruin the sweet savor of an awesome time in destiny. I received the same blog some days ago and when I first opened it I was at work, I immediately closed it and have not watched any other part of it, as I have to work with those kind and I did not need anything getting in my spirit to provoke me to anger! I have a cautious anticipation but I am yet planning a victory party. Go Obama, Mr President. I wish his grandmother god speed and God's blessing and healing power.

After posting this blog, I learned that today according to CNN two self-described skin-heads have been charged with a plot to assassinate Senator Obama. Keep the prayer-wheel turning --- the threat is real!!!

I received a startling e-video today concerning next week's election outcome which sparked fear in my heart. This is an EXCELLENT marketing strategy to encourage citizens to vote...for Barak Obama, of course. Upon review you can customize it & send to others.<br><br>http://www.cnnbcvideo.com/index.html?nid=dJMdtGeyn8.5Q3bwTQzP_jUyMjAwNjU-&id=

It is amazing to me the missinformation that is being spread about Sen obama! Its just a reminder that people show there true colors when power becomes available. My greatest fear is for things to stay the way that they are with our loved ones barely surviving while the rich get richer. My greatest fear right now is sen obama's supporters just talk the talk and not go out and actually voting. This is obviously the most important election of our life time not just becouse an african american is running for president but becouse of the fragile state of the world.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Brandon on 10/27/2008
I have to say that I am very cautious about the safety of Sen. Obama and his family. While cautious, I refuse to allow the hatred in this country by those who are opposed to seeing an African American in office, which we know ultimately to be the seed of the adversary at root, to cause me any fear. We have been taught that this years election is going to be decided by the saints . If this be true, AND IT IS!, then we can also pray for the protection of Sen. Obama and his family through the terms of his president of the United States. I cannot explain how much I hate the adversary. While America, at least those who are not racist, is mad at those who were planning the assassination, we must remember that those young men are still children of God. And while I cannot say that I am particularly happy with those young gentleman at this time, we must remember that the ultimate enemy is satan. We must pray for the protection of Sen. Obama and his family while remembering that those young men still have souls and must be won to Jesus. For we know that God can do anything!

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By gittysbug on 10/27/2008
C Powell would not run for President because his wife was afraid that he would be killed. My friend in Connecticut was going to run for governor, but his wife was afraid that his person, in more than one, would be attacked. Mr. Obama understands the threats that exist regarding his life. Some of us have to be the first to be IT. There is a danger being the first one. Let us keep praying for him. I think our government and the secret service will do their best to protect him. But remember Reagan, the Pope, Dr King and Kennedy. It doesn’t matter how much protection an official has, harm can come. The only thing I can say is “God save the king.” I also heard this story at 1:30 PM. These little cells are spread abroad. Let us keep a watchful eye. Don’t be afraid to report suspicious things. The devil hates himself, therefore he doesn’t care who he hurts. I will say that these incidents help Obama’s chance of becoming the president. These things shows the changed white Americans just how evil white Americans can be because someone is different from them. They are saying to themselves, “are really this bad?” They are looking at Hannity, Rush and others that are coming against Obama in the name of politics, but it is really disguised prejudice. Bishop, with your position, please gather all the churches to pray. I am going to organize the churches that I know to pray. Obama must continue even if it cost him his life.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Michelle on 10/27/2008
Praise The Lord My Beloved Brothers & Sisters....I wish you all well, My big concern is of course the safety of Sen Obama and his family....but voting frauds has been pressing heavily on my mind......The thoughts of many absentee ballots tossed out or not counted, and the trickery of voting machines ( touch screen) not working right or ridded....And how this election is making folks increasingly insane..... It's like having extended labor pain; ready to give birth at anytime, and the joy it brings following. ....And my biggest concern or (FEAR) is that Sen McCain may pull a surprised win over Sen Obama on election day when most people, including pundits and medias expected Sen Obama to win, and the thoughts of feeling that awful pain afterward. Let us not become complacent and to remember that Sen McCain is a survivor and a fighter. He will not give up until the very end. And We entended to do the same by voting and continue to help Sen Obama in his campaign.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Michelle on 10/27/2008
To all those beautiful white Americans, who love and support Sen Obama for president......THANK YOU!.....You have proven that there are far more loving people in this country than there are racial hatred. You made it possible for Sen Obama to win the White House. We couldn't had accomplished this without you; knowing there are less African Americans in this country than there are whites....I, as an African-American thank you again & again.

I have a flyer of my write-up, "Give Change a Chance," that I am passing out. You and others may print this and give to whomever you like. You will find this under Bishop Brady’s blog, 'Less Than Three Weeks, Exhale or Blow 10/15/08.' My initials are FR. You, would believe how much this bring a smile on my white fellow citizens face when they read this. Then they turn around and talk to their other friends. We will keep working and praying for Mr. Obama to win, and pray for Mr. McCain to help heal the country afterwards.<br><br>

Matthew, come on now! Are you telling me that you are "supporting" a McCain/Palen ticket? The Obama campaign strategy has been so masterful that even if they don't win Ohio, he will still have enough votes in the Electoral College to win. However, the focus now must be prayer to keep the candidates & their families safe. God's will be done!

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By gittysbug on 10/28/2008
Bish, I have a proposal. I believe God is calling us to a national day of prayer. I have already started getting churches together. Give me a call -203-985-7670. I know this will work.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Jacquie Hays on 10/28/2008
I agree with all of the comments above, my greatest fear is that of Suff Bish Brady, are there enough security personnel to handle the crowds, ie. as that in St. Louis it looked like ground cover. But if they don't have enough human security, we all have angels and I have certainly lent Mr. Obama some of mine plus I charged his angels to cover he and his family. Whether we know it or not we all have angels, sometimes we forget to use them, but I work mine overtime in case you forget. As far as Matthew, I tried to ignore his comment, but that is literally impossible because I would be consenting to it. I bind the devil in the Name of Jesus and all of his imps. The Saints of the Most High Shall take the Kingdom and possess it forever, even forever and ever. Satan I speak to you one time and dismantle your plan of division, your plan of murder, your plan to bring down the democratic reign, you are a liar and truth is not in you. Take your hands off of Senator Barack Husein Obama, Michelle Obama and their Children. I speak and declare that his grandmother will see him annaugrated as the 44th and first Afro American President of the United States, It is so in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If Ohio were the deciding factor Matthew, I know a people here if no where else who can pray and bring kingdoms down. Gittysbug I have been missing you and wondering where you have been hiding, hopefully in your secret closet. WE MUST PRAY MORE THAN EVER NOW AND AFTER THIS ELECTION, FOR GOD TO GIVE MR. OBAMA A PLAN TO BRING THE ECONOMY BACK SUDDENLY, ONLY HE CAN. I like Lisha am planning a Victory Party. I know without a shadow of a doubt that we will be celebratingThe Saints will determine this one Matthew. You shall see. It is better to switch than fight.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Andre on 10/28/2008
I understand exactly what you are saying Suffragan Bishop Brady. Ofttimes, we as saints of God have tunnel vision with reference to the things of God. I often wonder if we are so focused upon praying that Senator Obama be elected that we miss the many adversaries surrounding this great and effectual door? Not only must we pray for his protection, but that of his family as well. God has allowed judgment to hit our country that we may become a Theocratic nation in deed as well as word. With this judgment, there has been an expose of every spirit that offends the living God (i.e. racism, homosexuality, classism, atheism, etc.). So whether we choose to call it "fear" or "cautious apprehension" is irrelevant to me. There is without a doubt MUCH to pray for!

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By gittysbug on 10/28/2008
okay everybody, it time to get to work. I spoke to Bishop Brady and this is the information that I am sending to every living person I know of. Let's not leave one church or religion untouched: October 28, 2008<br><br><br>It is time to come together and pray for the unity of our country.<br>America is a great country with every conceivable ethnic background living on her soil. Before there were stamps and seals ratifying our existence as one nation, we prayed to our God and he helped us. <br><br>When we became a nation and established the name, "United States of America," we prayed unto our God. We believed and knew that He created the heavens and earth. He gave us his Son Jesus Christ. In this name we established ourselves as a people. We wrote a declaration declaring freedom from any resolute we may have had in the past, and we began to be governed by our citizens that were given to us for the people and by the people. <br><br>There have been many attempts to dissolve this Unity and Union that we so freely enjoy. The most notable of these came in 1861 when a band of men fired their canon on Fort Sumter, which started the Civil War. The country experienced it's first split since the end of the Revolutionary war in 1776. This land now had two governments with opposing views that could not live together; The Union and the Confederate.<br><br>In 1863 the Confederates lost to the Union, and the United States of America was once again in unity. The unity however was only on the side of the ethnic group that was the majority. Even though the other ethnic groups were citizens, they were kept away from the majority by the prejudices and the philosophies of those that interpreted the laws.<br>America was birthed for the divine purpose of her God. She was providentially established by the words of her God that stated, 'All men are created equal.' Equality is unity. The philosophy of the majority in government, and their prejudices prevented unity in the United States of America.<br><br>These concepts, philosophies, theories and rhetorics were destroying the very purpose for which we were established; unity. In the late 1960's, once again America was called to pray. The unity cry created the Civil Rights Movement. Afterwards the majority of all ethnic groups and religions started to interact as one people. No more separate bath rooms, restaurants, water fountains and many other barriers ceased.<br>Black men and women were treated equal by obtaining high level positions throughout the country. It appeared that our direction was one of unity.<br><br><br>This unity was disguised until, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama began to run for the presidency. People once again showed their hatred for people that were different. They demonstrated it toward Hillary because she is a woman, and they showed it toward Barack because he is a black man. Giving thanks to God many people that were convinced from the old establishment felt that this was enough. Our Constitution states that all men are created equal. Regardless of this declaration, there are many that are opposed to Obama and want to kill him because he is black.<br><br><br>Once again it is time to pray for unity in America. We are one. We are Americans, and we are standing up for all Americans. We are standing up for Barack Obama and his family along with John McCain and his family.<br>We can't be divided again. We are calling for every Church, Synagogue, Mosque and every other religious group in America to sacrifice and open their doors on Monday night at 7:00 PM on November 3, 2008 to pray for peace and unity in America. <br><br>

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By George on 10/28/2008
We do believe that the Lord will protect Senator Obama. But please allow me to go out in left field for just a moment. I f you click on to Exministries.com you will find a blog called vote black ? There is a YouTube cliip of Michelle Obama saying that the bllack church needs to stop being prejudice against gays and lesbians.<br>My concern is that we as believers are so caught up in making history we could be allowing ourselves to br tricked. Senator Obama is for gay civil unions and also believes that the black church should stop preaching against homosexuals. My ignorance on this matter may not allow me to to speak with intellgince as I should. So please if any one has scripture on this matter I welcome all comments. If Obama wins as christians can we do if he has an agenda that will allow gay people to marry ?<br>What concerns me is that Michelle Obama wants to go to black churces and tell the pastors to stop preaching against gays and lesbians. if you go to this website that I mention and watch then you will see what I mean<br>As the election draws near I would hope that we would really seek the Lord for the answers that we need on how to pick our leader for the next 4 years

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Lisha on 10/29/2008
George, I hear and appreciate your concern but be at ease. I beg the pardon of the readers and bloggers who are more politically and biblically astute than I, but I don't believe that it is the responsibility of the government to regulate morality. Now just as it is not the government's responsibility to regulate, they have no power over the "black" church or any other religious sect, if they did we would not have catholic priests raping innocent altar boys. I would like to believe that Mrs. Obama was pleading for the judging to stop and the loving to begin. I am persuaded that if we can get an individual to see, embrace and be touched by the "beauty of holiness" they will be changed. I was delivered some time ago when the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and assured me that we (his people) all have vices! Now whether the proclivity is homosexuality, lying, stealing, cheating, fornicating or backbiting we need God to deliver us. There really aren't any big/little sins, it is simply sin in the eyes of God. I believe that the Obama's are the change we need and granted we may not like everything about them, but for change sake we need someone who will turn this country around. I believe that the Obama/Biden ticket is the someone.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By George on 10/29/2008
Thank you Lisha for your post. It is impotant for us to hear other prespectives from our brothers and sisters in Christ. Iam just concerned about who I give my vote to because I know I will have to answer to the Lord for the deeds done hear on earth. And thank you for imforming me before election day. But as Bishop Wagner has preached this year. it is the saints of the most high God shalll take the kindom.<br><br>But in response to Bishop Brady,s original blog. I believe even though it is the 21st century america still has a problem with race relations. With the arrest of 2 skin heads this week it is a reminder that in some areas across the united states of america people are fearful of a black president.<br><br>I believe that tension between blacks and whites will rise once again and race will come back to the fore front of concerns for america. A co-worker on my job made a remark that if Obama wins that black people will take over. My question to her was take over what ? She had no answer . When people are not informed fear takes it place<br>

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Andre on 10/29/2008
I find myself wondering how closely some of you are actually following this election. Please forgive me if I appear in any way caustic, but I try to be a straight shooter. During the Vice Presidential Debate, Joe Biden and Sarah Palin clearly stated that both of the presidential candidates OPPOSE gay marriage. They believe marriage should be between a man and woman, but that same-sex couples should have civil rights (i.e. health care, property-sharing, etc.). Now, I respect you regardless to how you choose to vote because this is a free country. However, you should make every attempt to be as informed as possible. The majority of Black folks are BROKE! President Bush tricked the Black community into voting for him the second time, while driving us deeper in debt without a single moral change in our country. As a matter of fact, during the last four years gay marriage has been legalized in several states! Another point I wish to make is that Mrs. Obama is NOT running for president. She has her opinions on things, as do I. However, this is not an indication of where our nation would be headed under an Obama-Biden administration. While I concur with Suffragan Bishop Brady's greatest fear, mine is that the church of the living God will continue to vote on a single issue instead of looking at the broader perspective. There are many people who will continue to be negatively impacted by another four years of Republican rule. They are without health care, unemployed, underemployed, losing homes, paying uncalculable amounts for gasoline, dying in a senseless war, etc. While abortion is extremely important, please tell me how killing a baby is different from putting people on the front line of a useless war to be sent home to their families in a box on the bottom of an airplane? Wake up folks! Be not deceived. God is NOT mocked! Abortion is wrong, but being against abortion alone does not a Mother Theresa make. There are nine other commandments outside of "Thou shalt not kill" that the Republican party chooses to completely ignore. Eat the whole roll.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Jacquie on 10/29/2008
I have to agree with you Lisha, I just don't think Michelle meant it that way at all. But I want to ask, what do we do in our churches when a gay or lesbian come for services and don't know how to get out of the vice that grips them? Do we turn them away and send them back to the same lifestyle they are trying to get out of or do we take them in, teach them the other side of life and pray that God forgives and saves them or what. So this tells me that God is not capable of saving a liar, murderer or us from the multitude of vices that grip us. God forbid, that is why the church of the living God should be in its place to overturn such as this. There is no doubt that Barack Obama is our next president and we need him in such a time as this. We certainly can't go through another 4 years of the last 8 that we have been through with the mentality of George Bush. HOW ABOUT DOING WHAT WE DO BEST, PRAY!

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Jacquie on 10/29/2008
I have been following very closely switching channels like i have never done and Andre you are right and I agree with you 100%. Also in the presidential debates, both candidates made it clear they do not believe in same sex marriages.

Texas Voters Urged to Avoid Straight-Party Option, After Vote-Flip Complaints<br>By Kim Zetter October 29, 2008 | 3:21:43 PM<br>A number of voters in several Texas counties have been complaining that voting machines they used to cast early votes flipped their votes from Democratic choices to Republican ones.<br>Voters have reported that when they tried to vote a straight-party Democratic ticket, the machine flipped their choices to Republican candidates instead. In some cases, voters reported a problem only with the presidential race; in other cases voters reported the entire ballot being marked Republican by the machine.<br>The counties where the problems were reported use different kinds of voting machines from three of the top voting machine companies -- Election Systems & Software, Diebold Election Systems (now Premier Election Solutions) and Hart InterCivic.<br>A Hart InterCivic spokesman said that at least one of the scenarios that a voter described isn't possible on the company's machines. A spokesman for ES&S said very few voters had complained and as far as he knew poll workers were never able to replicate the situation they described. The same ES&S machines are at the center of stories in West Virginia and Tennessee where voters also reported the machines flipping their votes, though the scenario in those states was slightly different since voters there weren't trying to vote a straight-party ticket when the problem occurred.<br>Voting a straight-party ballot or ticket is an option offered in 15 states whereby a voter can choose to vote straight-party Democrat or Republican and the ballot will automatically mark votes for candidates from that party on the ballot.<br>THIS WHAT GET ME SO MAD !!!!! I hope many voters check their results, and complain if they have a problem with the machine used. Like I said earlier in my post THAT THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF MY GREATEST CONCERNS!!! It can effect the outcome of this election if no action is taken to correct the problem. They do advised:<br>REMINDER TO VOTERS: If you have problems casting a ballot, please contact us at vote@wired.com or add a report about your issue to our election map so we can track and investigate problems that come up. If you're adding a report to the map, please provide as much detail as you can to make it possible for us to verify the information. If you can provide us with your name and contact information to follow up with you and get more details, that would be even better. If you don't feel comfortable putting your name on the map, contact us at vote@wired.com.]<br>http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/10/straight-party.html<br>To gittysbug: I'm,( like most of us,)with you in prayer and fasting for the next commander and chief.<br>

Again Matthew.....YOUR WORDS SHALL NOT STAND, BUT FALL OUT OF EXISTENCE. By the way..... OHIO HAS ALREADY CHOSEN THE WINNERS .....THEY ARE SEN BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA & JOE BIDEN. OHIO IS AND WILL BE THEIRS !!!!!!! ...And Matthew....I will pull down, step on, and crush every word you utter each time, if you decide to declare McCain & Palin's name again on this website. In other words, I will destroy you, meaning your words...You perhaps are just kidding or playing around to see who would take you seriously. I don't know.....Whether it be for playing, somehow words hold power...You know and heard that the power is in our tongue, therefore, if it's God will for Sen Obama & Biden to be our next P.O.T.U.S., and I strongly believe it is,then with the authority of God in me will tear down and destroy any word ( not neccesarily evil)... but raises up against the plans of God. Okay Matthew? However, I do thank you for wishing them all protection. ..And thanks for visiting this site.

Re: MY GREATEST FEAR!!!  By Brandon on 10/31/2008
One of the things that I find to be most amazing throughout this long political campaign is how important Ohio is. This is really hitting home for those living in Youngstown. Today, 10-31-08, Sen. John Mccain came to YSU with Good Morning America. The day before Former President Bill Clinton was at Cambell Memorial High school. This truly is the City of God! I know that the demographics says that this is a swing state but really take a closer look. We have had every major candidate come through this city more than once. This is in Youngstown! A city that many are trying to move away from yet we see its importance, and apparently the politicians do to. Once again I do not have fears but I am cautious because unfortunately the adversary is cunning and will try anything to hinder that Will of God.

11/02/08 est, It's a quarter to 1:00 a.m. and I couldn't sleep but was thinking why it seem we as a people (of all parties) is tugging on God's arms asking Him to choose the candidates of our choice to win the election. The biggest endorsement is yet to come...that is God's endorsement. Who will HE endorse?...Should we pray for a candidate in particular to win, or should we pray that the right person win, regardless to if we find him favorable? Remeber God sees all things: past, present, and the future. He knows what will happen if one of them should win. We really don't know these two men like God does. We can only come to our own conclusion about a candidate and hope that our pick is God's pick. I thought I pose this question, not really trying to deviate from the subject, but in a way, find it nerving as the day of election is less than 3 days away.

I came on this site to see who was awake. Lo and behold Michelle is wake. Michelle no apologies needed for me. I know exactly what you are going through, and from my philosophy you are in the right frame of mind. God is the one that has chosen his man before this election started. Thank God he didn’t share the man’s name with any of us like he shared Cyrus’. But he could have like I thought he told me that Hilary would be president. O well, but we can’t stop prophesying because we missed it. I am very excited about the upcoming election and Barack’s numbers to win the presidency. Tomorrow will end this process and start a new chapter in America’s history. Many good things have come out of this. Many of us are realizing that God appoints kings, even though we have to vote. There is also a great change in the hearts of white Americans regarding following a Black Man. If Barack wins, we need to celebrate by incorporating a historical event on a special day in the future. I have such a day in mind. Let’s keep hoping and don’t forget to vote. God is our guide.
