Victory To The Giant Killer

 

Almost five months ago, on January 8, 2008, I wrote my first blog of the Obama Watch entitled, “Can Obama Become President?” Senator Barak Obama had surprisingly won the Democratic Iowa Caucus on January 3rd with his message as the ‘candidate of change’ and that started a wild fire that could not be quenched! I stated in that first blog: “There is a wave of excitement as Obama becomes the first African-American touted as a viable candidate that can result with a residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in January 2009. When he declared his candidacy, many doubted whether he could rally the white vote and be taken serious.”

 

It’s official: After the final two primaries in Montana and South Dakota today, June 3rd, Obama has become a “Giant Killer!” Who would have thought anyone could have defeated the all powerful Clintons (because Obama had to campaign against both Senator Hillary Clinton, as well as the former President Bill Clinton). Entering the campaign, Hillary Clinton knew she was the presumptive democratic nominee. She had the name --- the money [initially] --- the Democratic machine --- the press, she had it all! But she didn’t have a winning plan!!!

 

Believing the nomination would be finished after “Super Tuesday,” the Clinton campaign did not plan nor prepare for a race to June. Consequently they ran out of money, did not compete in caucus states, and had to fire top staffers --- while Obama’s staff ran a strategic and almost flaw-less campaign.

 

Never wavering from the message of Change & Hope, Obama kept pilling up the delegates and state wins. Even with tactics as “bittergate,” the comments of Pastor Jeremiah Wright & more recently Father George Pfleger, the inclusion of racial divide, and the suggestion of Robert Kennedy’s assassination for Clinton staying in the race… Obama was staunched in his effort to stay focus on the prize even with Clinton fighting to the tooth & nail! If there ever was a parallel of David and Goliath, we saw it between Obama and Clinton.

 

à Note: Oh by the way, Senator Obama is slated to give his Democratic nomination speech in Denver, CO on August 28th, which is the same day, 45 years after Dr. Martin Luther King gave his famous “I Have A Dream Speech” in Washington, DC on August 28, 1963.

 

However with his victory to become the Democratic nominee, Obama can’t rest on his laurels. He still has another giant to kill, the Republican candidate – Senator John McCain.  Among other blog subjects, as we continue to track Obama’s quest for the White House, these are just some of the future topics that I’ll be dealing with:

 

1)      Is Obama the candidate for Christians?

2)      Will quitting Trinity United Church of Christ be a factor for Obama?

3)      Should Obama select Clinton as his Vice Presidential choice?

4)      How will the racial card be dealt in the November election?

 

I want to thank the many thousands who have read & participated in these blogs, those who responded only once and those I can count on with a response for each blog. I hope you’ll continue as we provide a forum to exchange views and share different perspectives.

 

So, will Obama become the “Giant Killer” again in November and defeat John McCain to become the 44th President of the United States? Let me hear from you!

Okay Bishop Brady. Let’s see who God will pick in Nov 2008!!! Even though I don’t trust the hidden prejudice that resides within Obama and his wife, I do feel that something prophetic is taken place. I had hoped that the umbrella of providential chosen would be over Hillary. Now I will wait to vote in November 08 for whom I feel with be the best man for the job of leading American while I continue to be lead by God as an American. I love this country because I believe it was called into existence by the Almighty God of heaven and earth. I detest people that say God damn America. America is the only country that is being used by God to propagate the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ by many avenues. <br><br>God chooses pagans to sit on earthly throngs. He chooses Blood Washed people to call nations to repent. We need to be very careful about putting Obama in the same spiritual house with the saints of God. Obama is not the candidate for the true Christians. He is the candidate for Americans; of which we are a part. Quitting the Trinity Church of Christ will be a factor for the good, but he hasn’t giving his life to Christ. He will shake hands with another so called Christian group. Maybe God will show him how much he really needs Him like he did the kings of Babylon. Whether he selects Clinton or not, if he is chosen, he will become the first Black America President of the United States of America. But, I hope he does choose her. Finally, the race and gender card will be dealt by most, because this is the way things are in America. Time heals, but we haven’t had enough time for time to heal all. Sin is in the world as well as America. Sin is the reason that the race card will be dealt. <br><br>Let us pray as God’s will is being done. I don’t want Obama to become President in this great country. But, if he does, I will submit myself according to the Word of God to his authority. I will continue to pray for him. Let us not get tied up in people flesh. I can’t compare Obama with David. If the Giant is the spiritual America that resides outside of the Constitution which gives all men freedom, then Obama will be the Giant killer. But, he is no David. <br><br>In closing for this moment. I believe that God sent Dr. Martin Luther King for that time. For Obama to make his acceptance speech on the same day as that great man’s speech, it would be (good or bad) a speech that will be etched in stones if he becomes president. I look forward for that day when a person with our color-that was a slave- becomes king. Then I will proclaim, “The son of Joseph is sitting on his father’s throne.” <br>

GIANT KILLER indeed!! I believe that we are priveleged to be alive in this time of history and see God overturn so many things. We have to remember as a people that we are the royal seed and that God has his hand and favor on us. I only wish that some of my ancestors were here to see it. I believe that because of the struggle black people have endured, that it is NOW our time. Who would have believed that in my lifetime I would see a black man run for President and go as far as Senator Obama has! God is awesome. Senator Obama is a class act and has made me and others very proud to cast our vote for him. The malicious mudslinging that has taken place by his opponent was just a showing of her true colors. Whoever is writing for Senator McCain had better spruce up the pen, pencil and keys, because Obama is well versed and solid on what he believes. He has staffers who are intelligent and are abreast of things. They obviously research and keep the Senator ahead of the game. I do not believe in coincidence, I believe that Obama is where he is for such a time as this. The dream that Dr. Martin Luther King shared shall come to pass. Hope has been sparked. I work in a political establishment and the racial tension is overwhelming. I get the distinct impression that non blacks and/or Senators Clinton and McCain supporters are terrified that if a Black man gains power that those things that they and their ancestors have done to us, will be returned with a vengenance. I am proud to say that integrity says otherwise. The reaping that will be received will not be handed down by black people, but by the law....because as a man soweth, so shall he reap. YES we can change things and make a difference, GO OBAMA GO!

Saul has killed his thousand and David his ten thousand, but Obama has topped the two and made history in a time when such is unheard of. I stated from the beginning and I declare now, that he will kill the last giant of McClain and become the 44th president of the United States. With that accomplishment there will be great and might changes throughout the world. When my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and turn from there wicked way, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land. Healing is on the way, because I believe there are great victories for all after this last slaying takes place. I declare and put in the atmosphere that President Obama will reside in the White House of the United States of American where there is Liberty and Justice for all.

I am so thankful that the American people are obeying God. Jacquie, we must be very careful about speaking things in the air. We have no power to make things happen, except to vote and to persuade others to vote. I was writing my first book in 1999 and I felt the Lord told me that Hillary would be the next president after George W Bush. I might be wrong, and it appears that I am until the election in November 2008. Anything could happen. But, to speak doth sayest the Lord will be putting us on the verge of taking the name of the Lord in vain. Which I did, and now have repented of. <br><br>We Christians have to be careful not to gloat in the defeat of Ms Clinton for fear that we are worse than what we call her or anyone else. Bible; Judah said of Tamar after his sin with her that she was more righteous than he. We are a different people. Sure we have someone that is an American whose color is the same as the ones that were slaves, who also has the potential of becoming king. It is an exciting time for most Americans, plus given the fact that he will accept the nomination on the day when the famous I Have a Dream Speech was giving. The Constitution of the United States of America allowed us to have a positive dream, which Dr King so eloquently stated and everything and everybody have it etched in their halls and brains. This Dream was planted in the hearts of most ex-slaves prior to 1863. I am so thankful that I can tell Fredrick Douglas, Booker T. Washington, Harriett Tubman, Dr George Washington Carver and others that their Dream is coming true. I hope, even though I will not vote for Obama, comes Jan 09, I will be able to tell all of them that their dream has come true. There is a book published by AuthorHouse Publishing company entitled, Red, White and Blue: The Issue. It speaks of why this day has come, why the Black African Slaves had to come to the New World. It is great book. I now that I am in the will of God, therefore I had to come here by the will of God through the Black African Slaves. I am so thankful to the Lord. Providence, providence, providence. True born again Christians can see the kingdom of God. Like Joseph our fathers believe in the Lord and waited for this day to come. <br>

Mr/Ms/Mrs. Gittysbug<br><br>I respect your comments, however, I never said thus sayeth the Lord. I was speaking from the power within me. So I beg to differ with you that I don't have power to make things happen. Acts 1:8 says But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: <br><br>In saying that I have the Holy Ghost which is God himself living on the inside and therefore, giving me that power that you say I don't have. That would be contradictory to God's Word. The Bible also says that life and death is in the power of the tongue. Therefore, God gave me the same creatorial power that he has in Gen 1: when He said let there be. The bible also states ask what you will in my name and I will give it unto you. And the scriptures go on and on telling me the kind of power within me. <br><br>I totally believe by putting something into the atmosphere that I am creating as my Lord and Savior did. I am not saying that I am God, but I am certainly His Son. And as I did state I declared that Obama shall win the primaries which was in the atmosphere and I do have that kind of faith to believe what I pray and put out there, knowing it will come to pass. And certainly God has a will in all of this, but he also gives us a choice. The Kingdom of God shall come on earth through us who have God living on the inside. We are the Kingdom of God on earth. Now we are the sons of God. Through his holiness and righeousness we shall be all that he dreamed us to be. I am declaring it so!!!! With the Holy Ghost and insight into scriptures, you will also have that same kind of power. God bless you and allow you to see the power that he gives to each of us

But, there is a context that we have to reside within. Holy Ghost baptized believers have the power of God residing within them to stop the heaven that it doesn’t rain. To raise the dead and heal the sick, which is a part of my personal experiences. These miracles have happened in my life because God permitted them to happen. Recently, I spoke to a young lady that was not saved. I told her that God called her into the ministry. This was my first time seeing her. She stood up and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. I was a witness to the gift she knew was already inside of her. In that same setting a young lady had being running from the Lord’s salvation. I had never seen her before. But I called her up and told her what God told me. She started weeping and gave her life to God. So, I’m with you. It is his power and gift. We must believe that we can speak and it happens. But we must also believe that when it does not happen, it is not the will of God, therefore I am still content with the outcome. Experience has taught all of us that every person we lay hands on or speak a word to, what we purposed did not come to pass. If it did then we are fooling ourselves. So, I repented and ask the Lord to forgive me for proclaiming in his name that Hillary would be the next President of the United States. I frankly believe that Obama will be the next president because he is running against a man that most of the country sees as a continuation of the Bush policies. I love President Bush and history will show that God chose him. God will also choose the next President to fulfill his will. I need to know about speaking into the atmosphere. God never told us to speak and leave thing in the atmosphere. He told and tells us to speak to “it”. We can speak to the atmosphere and it shall obey. But, I don’t find any place in the Bible where it tells us to speak into. I just need a scripture reference or a supposition from the scriptures that will cause us to invoke your theology. We are sons of God and have the same power as the angels; therefore we can only do what God allows. He doesn’t allow everything. If he did then there would not be any hospitals, or high gas prices, or diseases, or poverties. But, I hope that you are right about Obama. The celebration of him being elected President will be nothing short of great jubilation from the north, east, south and west of this great country. It will be such an event to where another Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi shall arise to give great gifts to America. I don’t care for having Mr. Obama or his wife as leaders in the White House. But, if he is elected then it will be God’s will, and I believe what Apostle Paul and Peter tell us; to pray for our leader and respect them, so that we can lead a peaceful life. You sound like a person of tremendous faith; this is how we ought to act. We must believe God’s word. Love you. <br>

Gittysbug you have been more than kind and respectful towards me, and I appreciate that. What I mean is for some reasons, I kept calling you my brother, without knowing your true identity. I guess because the word "BUG" has a masculine connotation to me,which led to my careless assumption, that you may had indeed be a sister. It has bothered me, and I was a bit embarrassed about it. If we were to imagine America 100 years ago, it would indeed be a challenge for an African- American. Living in a nation that put emphasis on American democracy working for ALL PEOPLE was a dim vision for an African-American and other minorities of our nation. It all sounded good, but it was not perceived equally as all people living and enjoying the benefits of individual freedom and the social justice experienced by our fair mankind. Basic civil rights was denied due to race and we as African-Americans lived in the “night” of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness under the United States Constitution.<br>Separate societies continued for years and if you or I lived in that era, it would have been extremely difficult for us to become a high achiever due to restrictive laws and opportunities for most African-Americans and other minorities. As time moved on, I look at the 1950’s specifically 1954 where Brown vs. the Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas. This marked the beginning of ‘Change’ for the African American people. This case stated that “separate but equal” educational facilities were “inherently unequal”, and therefore segregation in public education was unconstitutional. When you began to look at history of the African American at that time, you notice a rise in several individuals in the movie, sports and military world.<br>As I began to look into some history of our people, there written in an article by a writer of the Washington post was mentioned a man by the name of John Mercer Langston of the 19th century, the first African-American elected official, a congressman from Virginia. He too, represented the same beginnings of Senator Barack Obama. It was said that he also was a man that was slim, elegant, charming and cultivated and of mixed-race parentage, extremely educated, proficient in the constitutional law, a community organizer, a great speaker and presenter, and sought to unify a divided country after the War in Iraq, oh excuse me, I mean the Civil War. It is so ironic that now after said 153 years there arises a man called Barack Obama. Not reincarnated, but a God created man for this time in history. If he doesn’t know it, someone needs to tell him “Who he is.” It was not the time for Langston but it is the time for Obama. It is the turning point of our nation and the whole world looks to see what is about to take place in this United States of America. I am grateful to be able to witness this history with my children. We shall all pray for our nation, pray for the world and pray for Senator Obama and his family, and always seek the Will of God not just for Senator Obama, but for ourselves to reach, develop and achieve to become the best we can be in the life. No matter what race you represent, we must represent mankind as a nation.<br>

This is great commentary! Bishop A. Glenn Brady, I appreciate the vision you captured in establishing a blog of discussing current national events but with a local twist. We all get to hear to "real" people comment about these current events. Back to Sen.Obama, and literally my back is to Sen.Obama. I network with alot of people and in the African American community I understand the reason why they "embrace " Sen.Obama since he potentially could become our nations first African American President. However, from a Christian stand point, and the stance that should be viewed first, I can't see me casting a ballot for someone who excepts views and fights for issues that contridict the WORD! From over here it appears that we as christians would be settling for less because he is African American. Hey this is Listen101 just weighing in on the topic and appreciate the opportunity. Michelle, I could tell the way gittysbug speaks he had to be a man. No negative connotation there by the way. Gittysbug, I am glad to hear of all of the spiritual experiences that you have had and appreciate you clarifying some things. Believe me, I don't just speak into the atmosphere, I speak to a thing and I have had the experience of stopping the rain and participating in many miracles. I am a woman of great faith, which absolutely believes that God can do anything. However, I am saddened to see that you love the president. As a person, I am commanded to love him, but as president, I prefer another. It is time for change in this country and throughout the world and I am speaking and will continue to speak that Obama will be our president. You are absolutely right, McCain would be like electing Mr. Bush again. We have senseless deaths in a war where the men didn't even the know the real reason they were dying, only because they were commissioned to go. John McCain has lost his conservative morals and Obama agrees with anything to get him elected. As a member of an Apostolic denomination and also a born again saved Christian, it is difficult for me to over look my biblical values to vote for a man that doesn’t believe in the principles of Christ. I can’t bring myself to vote for either candidate. I am a voting citizen, therefore I have resolved my voting issues by voting for the prominence of history. I would like to see history made in November 08. Even though he is not a descendant of former slaves of America, he is the closest person to it because of his color. I now concede my own philosophy to pushing to elect Barack Obama as the first Black American to become president of America. If you can’t vote for him for moral reasons, I hope that you and others will stand with me to vote for him based on my reasons come November 08. <br>

God chooses the worse of men and women to do his will, and he creates the worse of situation to prosper his purposes. I believe President Bush was chosen by God as a piece of the Revelation puzzle. On another note: As I stated before, I will push for history to be made, and uphold the standards of God even to death or public shame. I believe in this great country of our, because I am in the will of God right here in America. God planned that I would be here today in the blessed country; therefore he planned that my ancestry would come by way of slavery. Like Joseph, I am thankful and rejoice that salvation has come to many because of God’s will in my life. I look to rejoice when I can see an American whose skin color has been laugh at wear a crown. <br>If you attend the National Convention of the PAW, it is possible that I will see you. I will step on your foot and you will not know who I am, but I will know you. LOL<br><br>

WoW! I love this blog! Commenting on this blog is like eating pringles...once you pop you can't stop. However...Gittysburg...What happen to you! I thought I had a partner in this struggle until you hung a left onto "Left Wing BLVD." I guess I have to stand on this island alone. When I hear the cry for Americans for "Change" and a shout for a new leader in the chant of "O-Ba-Ma, O-Ba-Ma, O-Ba-Ma!" I hear the same shout the Israelites gave to Samuel asking him to appoint a king after being ruled by dishonesty and perverted justice. I Samuel 8: 1-18 reveals to us how the table is set for"Change We Can Believe In." Even after Samuel revealed to the Israelites what this king would do to them when he reigned, the Israelites still refused to heed the warning of God through Samuel and Saul was appointed king. Let us view how the "first king" of Israel was appointed. As we continue to read in I Samuel 8:21- Samuel took the people's request and Saul was birth out of DEMAND! How significant is this to the moment that we are living in now. Sen. Obama is being cheered for across the country from radio dj's to Oprah, America is DEMANDING a change. When you search Saul in the Hebrew, what is revealed is that his name Saul means= "ASKED FOR OR DEMANDED"- quite a coincidence isn't it! And for all my theologians we know how Saul's life, rule and reign ended. In the Bible, no man among Bible men had so many chances thrust upon him to make a success of life, and no man ever so missed them. Saul not only missed great opportunities, he deliberately abused them. Sen.Obama is definitely birthed for a time however out of the almost same time and moment that Saul was birthed as king. Just like the Israelites of old, America is calling for "Change" and God being the loving God he is hear s the cries of his people and " The Lord answered,"Listen to them and give them a king." I Samuel 8:22. We reap what we sow, check the seeds that Sen.Obama, Sen.McCain, and others are looking to sow into our ground. Look at the issues saints. Praise God . Listen 101

Listen101 I cannot agree with your anology. God was Israel's king when they asked for Saul. They were rejecting Gos as their King. America votes for a new president every 4 years. Not the same as saying God we don't want you. Someone has to govern in America. Prophetically speaking, there are events that will take place in America no matter who is in the white house, Republican, Democrat, man, woman. By the way, speaking about moral issues, in the white republican and democrats accept gays and lesbians and other diviant moral beliefs. So go ahead and vote for Senator Obama for president

I must state for the record that Bishop Keith pronounced from the beginning that Sen. Obama would be the Democratic nominee. After the Rev. Wright comments, I did have my doubts that he could overcome such a negative picture (especially since we still have racial overtones in the USA); but Obama had an excellent staff that kept him on focus with "his" message. If we as Christians can do the same thing -- not get side tracked by what the adversary throws are way, but remain focused on our purpose in destiny! So Bishop Keith, you say he will be in the White House?

I just want to challenge everyone since obviously the majority sees Obama as this "king" (spoken by Angela)....During his term in the Illinois State Senate. He gained a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood for his support of family planning and ABORTION rights legislation....Barack Obama supported gay rights during his Illinois Senate tenure....Every two years the Human Rights Campaign, the largest national gay and lesbian organization, issues a scorecard for members of the Senate based on their sponsorship and voting on key issues of importance to gay and lesbian citizens. Barack Obama scored 89 out of 100% in the 2006 scorecard....Barack Obama believes gays and lesbians should have the same rights to adopt children as heterosexuals....Are we as Christians really ready for the changes that may take place having a liberal president?............ Just a thought

Anonymous makes a excellent point.we as saints should be very careful who we promote as our future leader.If Obama is elected in November the liberals will have power in abundance.And it will be becaucse of our vote that will allow a shft in the earth. Obamas former pastor allow's same sex couples in his church every 5th sunday there is same sex partners celebration day. Keep in mind he was a member there for 20 years.Having a black presdient would be great but to answer to God should make us stop and think are we doing whats right accordind to scripture

George, as I indicated in this blog that a future subject will be "Is Obama The Candidate For Christians?" But my observation is when we look at President Bush and many of his cabinet & leadership who espoused being aligned with the Evangelical Right were really only that by "title" and not by "deed." Don't forget, Vice President Cheney's daughter is openly gay and how there had to be a reversal of his condemning position. Remember, President George Bush was touted as the "Christian" President. Not saying that he's not, but examine under his leadership the current state of the country, the state of our economy, and even the prolong Iraq war. So let us view & consider all positions before condemning Sen. Obama for serving as the Democratic candidate.

A.Glenn Brady you'll be proud to know that I was in a meeting today with a local chapter of the NAACP in my area and I did mention your site and blog. Ironically we started to talk about the Presidential race before we started the meeting and the strangest thing happened, as we were covering some of the topics and issues that are facing the Candidates just as we are discussing them in this blog, one of the men in the meeting started to get frustrated about how others, mainly ME, weren't in agreement with him on "hoping" Sen.Obama would win the Presidency. Now what was ironic wasn't that we disagreed ,BUT the some total of his arguement and stance for Sen.Obama was expounded upon when the man shouted across the table"....WELL AT LEAST HE'S BLACK!!!!" Is this what it has come down to for some folks. Anonymous's prior comments were making plain what my prior comment and analogy toward Saul was. Thanks Anonymous! Bishop Keith I'm glad you responded, however you missed the point, so here it is for ya- In 1 Samuel 9:2 it explains the reason Saul was chosen. My Bible shows me that Saul was a "choice" young man, handsome, and a head taller than any of the people. Saul was chosen because of his physical characteristics not his spiritual characteristics. I'm afraid we are falling for the same characteristics with Sen.Obama because he is Black. The enemy can't read our minds but he can study our ways and he has been listening to the cries and conversations of alot of "us" and I believe he has found a way to pacify us while he's setting the table and agenda for his movement. I can't see us as Christians voting for anyone with Sen. Obama's views dealing with issues that "openly" and "plain as day" contridict the WORD. Ok Bishop Brady let me say it like I said it when I told the saints back in February. I told the saints that I received the revelation that Obama would go through like a locomotive. I also said at the time that i was not sure if the second part was my thoughts or the Lord's. But I believe Obama would be president. So I am still holding to that. However I have a strong feeling that the word was from the Lord because it came at the same time. So then I am saying that come Jan.20 2009 we will be saying President Obama. As for the moral part? Saints someone is going to govern. Do you want McCain wjho will carry on Bush's policy? or do you want to at least give someone else to change things. President Bush has gays in high office. I know this for a fact. What we really need is a true apostolic to be president.

The things you mentioned regarding Mr. Obama is quite disturbing. We true Christians have a mandate to witness to the lost. Therefore, righteous judgment has to be made to determine who is lost and who is not. It is my judgment that Mr. Obama is lost. The fruit of his tree is a sign that his spirit has not been born again. With that said, will God chooses a person with the debilitating character as Barack? Yes he will. God does anything he wishes and does things that may be against the standard of holiness. Remember he called that homosexual Alexander the Great from Greece. Then he called that crazy murderer Caesar from Rome. Then in 70 AD he called Titus to destroy the temple in Jerusalem. Read the book Red, White and Blue: The Issue, published by AuthorHouse Publishing House. This book tells about George Washington’s miraculous defeat of British in 1777, and how God revealed himself as the Lord of the Union. My next goal is to be a part of history, and let the leaders of this great country know that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the final authority on morality.

Bishop Brady, one of the most vital doctrines that we have to consider when labeling men and women in government is the doctrine of selection. I will continue to bring up Daniel 2:21-22, and 4:17,32, 35. We are not voting for men to be pastors of the church; however as Christians we would like for them to be morally sound. In a theocracy all the leaders of government have to be of the same theological belief. In a democratic government it is not so. President Bush or potential president Barack Obama will appoint men and women that have crazy sexual habits. Not so in the Church. We view the American government, rightly so, as a theocracy because of it foundation of Christianity. When the King and Queen of Spain arrested Columbus for trying to enslave the Indians, it was told to him several times that the people of new colonies would be Christians. Consequently the start of the New World’s government would be considered a theocracy??? I love America. In this country we can dialogue, agree, disagree and agree and disagree some more. Our philosophy doesn’t have to be the King’s philosophy; Rex Lex or Lex Rex. Therefore because we have such liberty it is great to come to sites like this and be right or wrong with being beheaded. Moving forward. We are not condemning Mr. Obama, because we don’t have the power to. However, we are and will properly judge him by stating the obvious. We don’t want to vote for a person that has Mr. Obama’s view. Like Anonymous on 6/10/2008, I will never be ready to cast my vote Mr. Obama’s philosophy. Contrarywise, I will place myself against an oxymoronic view and vote for him to make history. The Church is still under the covenant of prevailing against the Gates of Hell. What I love about reading the blogs is that just 10 years ago we would not be having this debate. After Obama had enough votes to grab the nomination. The very next day a junior high school reported that young black students grades and their behavior dramaticly changed. It is so empowering to see an example that does not have to depend on sports or entertainment to be an example for our young people. But I would like to thank Bishop Brady for his response to my previous comment.Wh It makes me look @ things differently. Bishop Keith on 06/11/08- Thanks for the addendum. I also separate my denominational belief from the biblical apostolic views. Acts 2:38’s message is the decision one must make after they have accepted the plan of God regarding the Son of God. Mr. Obama needs to hear this message and accept it before he can make changes in his moral views. It is not impossible, but the probability is less that he will accept it. His leaving Trinity United Church of Christ (Trinity United Church of the Preacher) was an advised to make this political move, not a spiritual one. I don’t praise him or hold it against him. As time progresses into the future, he will change his views to accommodate the masses or a philosophy to sit in the presidential seat in the Oval Office. I can deal with that because I serve the Lord and I know that the Church has the preeminent in America. We will never go under, regardless of who the president is. There is a great book in print that tells of America’s past starting from Abraham. Every America needs this book; ‘Red, White and Blue: The Issue.’ It is better than the book, Before the Mayflower. The reason I will vote for Obama is because I understand the significance of us Americans allowing the Constitution to take presidents over the prejudice of some citizens that keep it from being applied to all Americans. November 2008 will be a great day in America’s history. I will publicly celebrate, and then I will publicly fight any policies that he may try to implement that goes against the holy standards of the Bible.

Sometimes it is not him so much helping us as much as us helping him. Wouldn't it be amazing with the interaction with he and Bishop Brazier that he would now become baptized in Jesus Name and Filled with the Holy Ghost. No man knows the total plan of God nor Senator Obama's purpose; only what we know of the past experiences can we testify. I believe and have always believed that Barack Obama will be the next president. While we are so critical of his true belief, I can't remember whose blog I read, but they were talking about his message on various subjects and issues. However, let's not forget there are many christian/spirit filled ministers/pastors/bishops on television today, who preach around Jesus but never declare their true belief for the purpose of remaining on the air. Be careful before we judge the man, he is in a world of politics and not running the for office in the religious circles.<br><br>By the way Gittysbug do you have a wife by the name of Tamara and recently had a new son? I don't make judgment nor decisions on the color of a man's skin, but I do look at his integrity. The bible also says judge not lest ye be judged. I happen to have had the opportunity to work in politics for the past 25 years and know for a fact what you are told publicly doesn't mean that is the absolute truth from any politician. Here we have to place our hope in God and he alone because he is the only righteous judge that I know. Believe me, that is my prayer daily, Lord don't leave me to my own understanding and certainly in all my ways I make it a conscience effort to acknowledge him. I have been talking to many republicans regarding my rational pertaining to Mr. Obama. Most of them agree with me. I don’t see the qualities that speak about holding America to a moral standard that would cause me to vote for him. I will not lay down my values to see a Black American become President of this great United States of America, which at one time barred a person of his color from becoming President. I will follow God and vote for a man whose value system is less than that of the Holy Scriptures. He does it so why can’t I. But I refuse to marry a prostitute or walk around naked for three years. LOL. I am a Republican, but I will vote for the Mr. Obama just to see the statement fulfilled, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.’ Once American honors this statement, they will have fulfilled another chapter in the divine providential plan of the Almighty God who called Ephraim out of Abraham. I am thankful unto the Lord for bringing me here to save many people alive. I will say to all like Joseph said to his brothers, you black folks don’t be angry, God sent the Black African Slaves before you so that you can enjoy the blessing of Abraham. Doesn’t it bring tears to your eyes when you hear people sing about the Blessing of Abraham, but don’t want to accept the history that gave them the blessing? For some people prophecy is only prophecy when it rubs them the right way.

On the onset, I said Obama can be President of the United States. I also said, that there was something that would happen to disqualify him. The latter has turned out not to be true, so far. Obama is the giant killer. We should celebrate the fact that in our lifetime we can choose to vote for an African-American for President of the United States of America.

Thanks Michelle- I can safely assume that his father was not an American citizen. With that said, he doesn’t have previous Black African Slave status. Which doesn’t concern me, except for the truth of his heritage! Now I shall move on with more important pressing issues.
