After the primaries on May 20^th, Sen. Barak Obama achieved a milestone by obtaining a majority of the pledged delegates with only undeclared superdelegates remaining. As of this writing, Obama has 1,658 pledged delegates and 307 superdelegates (or a total 1,965) while Sen. Hillary Clinton has achieved 1,500 pledged delegates and 279 superdelegates (or a total 1,779). While neither have achieved the magic number of 2,026 that is needed to secure the nomination, it is clear that there is no way Clinton can win. That is why it is so puzzling as she continues her campaign “full steam ahead” along with her husband (former President Bill Clinton) in her attempt to convince the remaining uncommitted superdelegates to 1) ignore the pledged delegate count, 2) overturn the will of the people, and 3) vote Hillary Clinton as the democratic nominee. But Obama can’t be denied. He started this race as the “super-underdog” without any chance of winning. Clinton has considered the presumptive democratic nominee and had no plans of doing any campaigning after Super Tuesday, thinking it will be all over. However, with a tremendous campaign staff (under the direction of David Axelrod), a strategy was prepared and implemented to almost perfection. Amidst Rev. Wright, “bittergate,” racism, and every other attempt, Obama endured and came out on top! I personally am looking very closely to see what happens. If by any chance the democratic party elects to make Hillary Clinton the nominee to appease women and win working whites with the notion that African-Americans will vote democratic regardless, I will not be voting in November! So, it will be interesting to see what happens after the democratic leaders meet to decide the fate of the Michigan & Florida delegates and the remaining few primaries. Obama can’t be denied! I do you agree with you sir that Obama will not be denied the democratic nomination; however, winning the office of president of the United States I believe is a totally different story. I believe what Obama has accomplished in winning the senate in Il, and most likely becoming the democratic nominee for the office of Commander in Chief is amazing, Miraculous! Unfortunately I'm not persuaded that Obama can go all the way to the top of the mountain. I believe him winning the whole thing was undeniable, if not for the Rev Wright controversy, and Rush Limbaughs "operation chaos". I am still undecided on whether or not to vote during the general election myself. I am not fully persuaded that either Mcain or Obama are the best men for the task at hand. But like you sir, I too am looking very closely to see what happens. I believe Obama can surely be denied the office of the President of the United States. He still has an uphill climb, and you better believe that conservative white and black america will fight tooth and nail to put their man in office. The question is whether Obama's people will fight tooth and nail, and show up when he needs them the most to do the same for him. Well, we shall see!!

It is obvious that Obama will win the democratic nomination. However, it is not impossible for Hillary to pull off an upset. If Hillary pulls an upset fairly, then why are we saying we will not vote in November because a viable Black American candidate came close to winning? Obama can be denied if the process of denying the candidate is done legally. Let us remember what happened with Bush and Kerry during the last election. It is my belief according to the word of the Lord recorded in the 2nd and 4th chapters of Daniel that leaders of great countries are chosen by God. Obama or Hillary can go into the convention needing only 1 delegate to win the nomination. But, when the convention is over the person of God’s chosen will come out the victor. Example… Judah had two sons by Tamar. The oldest put his hand out first, but the youngest stole his birth right. God’s choice. Jacob stole Esau’s blessing and birth right by God’s chosen. By the mouth of a multitude of witnesses, America as a nation was called into existence by God. Therefore all that originally came here, and however they came here, was by the design of God. Joseph was sent to Egypt by God to save many people alive (Joseph’s words). After a comprehensive study of American and world history, I believe Joseph’s son Ephraim is America. The Church is that faith of Abraham that God called to spread the gospel throughout the world. The progenitors of the Christian slaves are here because of God’s chosen. We need to understand how God works in the mist of the electoral voting processes. We will not dismiss the natural way of electing our parties nominees, in conjunction with that, we have to believe what the Bible says about divine providence. Let’s pray that God’s will be done, and get out and vote. This is a site where believers can voice their opinions and pure opinions with matters of facts. I hope that we will take a different attitude than what the world takes. Obama is not an African American. His skin color is dark like our, but his father is from another country and his mother is white. If we true Black Americans want to adopt him, fine go ahead. Color is not what we are voting for. We are voting for the best person for the job. I guess for some voters the best person has the color they are looking for. Hillary, has every right to pursue her goals and to use every legal strategy she can to win the nomination. If the information and revelation of who Obama really is had come out right after New Hampshire primary, Obama wouldn’t have a chance at winning. He created this negative by not getting saved and not joining Bishop Brazier’s or Bishop Smith’s church in his area. He joined a church that mirrored his philosophy. His wife has that same philosophy, and probably worse than his. Rev Wright isn’t wrong about Obama. But, God chooses the vilest or bases of men. So, welcome to the circle of leaders: Nebuchadnezzar, Alexander, Caesar, and others. Now Bishop Brady, go and vote.

Gittysburg, we'll wait and see what happens; but I'm not closing the door to a protest "non-vote." The assumption is and has been that blacks will vote democratic regardless -- so "the powers to be" could conclude that lets select Hillary who will pull in disgruntled white voters knowing that us poor blacks will fall in line and vote democratic regardless. Just spectulation until we know what the final outcome will be.

Like many blacks, I've voted for the current republican, "President George Bush," (the christian) out of my moral conviction, but like Bishop Brady said, look where it brought us. Overtime, I l developed a more opened mind by looking at the whole picture, beyond someone's religion. .......Gittysbug, first of all, hello my brother. You said Sen Obama is not African-American. I don't quite follow your statement on that. How could you say that Sen Obama is not AA when his father, Barack Obama senior was for a fact born in Kenya, which is Africa, and his white mother, Mrs. Stanley Ann,whose maiden name I can't pronouced, was for a fact born in Kansas, which is a state of America of the United States ? For that matter, he is more of an African American than we are, and I'm just a black gal,who don't know any trace of American's (white folks) blood flowing throughout my veins, and yet, I AM AMERICAN, as well as AFRICAN?.....And for a sake of argument, It's also possible that God is on Sen Obama's side by..... "TIMING,"....YES....NOT ONLY DID TIMING HEPLED SEN OBAMA BUILD MOMENTUM AMONG PEOPLE, WHO AT FIRST DIDN'T KNOW HIM WELL AT THE TIME, BUT BECAUSE GOD ALSO KNEW IN ADVANCE THAT ALL THOSE CONTROVERSIES WOULD COME UP AGAINST HIM, therefore, God allowing those crucial primaries to take place in February, AND YES,,,,,hehehe....even allowed early votes in MI and Fl, benefited Sen Obama, because the two states violated party's rule, therefore, givining him the advantage he needed. Also his conception and birth by his Bi-Racial parents is unique. Look how his family trees represent every American, white, black, puerto ricans?, muslim, arabs, you name it.He's is representing everyone of us. He's been, and lived practically all over the globe since he was born. Whether you or I ever admit it, HE'S QUITE A PERSON, WHOM GOD MARVELOUSLY and WONDEROUSLY MADE....Please anyone...If you don't know much about him still, than please purchase his book,"DREAMS FROM MY FATHER." This book speaks of his personal life and background. I can also find reasons why God is with Sen Clinton as well, but for right now,although not sure, it looks like it's Sen Obama's season.

Praise the Lord my dear sister Michelle. I agree with you on every point. You sound almost like me (smile).Except one point, his ethnicity on his father’s side. My questions to you or anyone that may be able to help me with an answer are, (1) was his father a descendent of a former Slave prior to 1863? (2) Was he an American by birth? (3) Was he living in America but not a citizen? If he was an American then he would be considered a Black or African American. But he doesn’t qualify, in my eyes, to have the same status as you or any one whose parents were sold to America before 1863. Senator Obama’s mother doesn’t qualify him to be in the status of a descendent of the Black African Slaves. If his father came to this country after 1863, he doesn’t qualify to be a descendent of a former slave. He may have the color, but he doesn’t have the heritage. A European descendant plus an African foreigner doesn’t equal a descendant of a Black African Slave. I don’t hold that against him. We, born again people that can see the kingdom of God, believe in the divine providence of God. God works in ways beyond our comprehension. What you said in the beginning of your response is exactly how God works. However, the same could be true, regarding the final outcome after the DNC in June. Hillary may be chosen at the end by God. But we will wait and see. It is like receiving a report from the doctor that tells you you only have 2 weeks to live. Every body has buried you, but on the 13th day, God heals and raises you up. Obama may very well be the chosen one for America. Whoever it will be, they will be puppets in the hands of the Almighty. Revelation was written, therefore it most come to past. One of these candidate will be force, by their character, to fulfill God’s will. Just like Judas. When it comes to why I will vote for a certain person, then I will find out more about them. But when it comes to comes to whom God has chosen, I have no other choice but to accept their character; good or bad. Remember Israel’s split after the death of Solomon! It is so good to see the handy work of God. I will rejoice even if my predictions are wrong, because God is always right.

Hi gittysbug, How are you doing? You've asked me (1) was his father a descendent of a former Slave prior to 1863? My answer to the first question is that I don't think so.I'm not sure. I would have to read more in dept about his father's lineage (2) Was he an American by birth? The answer is yes. His mother is an American, and he was born in the state of Hawaii, which is one of the United States. (3) Was he living in America but not a citizen? He was most defininately a citizen of the United states, but lived virtuely on the Hawaii Island from the time of his birth to the age of six years, and by then, his mother remarried to an Endonesian man named Lolo, who moved his family over sea to live in a third world country. By the time Barack was approximately 10 years old, his family moved back to Hawaii, but I also believe he attended a prestigious elementary school in California. I will come back to make the necessary corrections if needed.I will look into some of the answers, like his father lineage and Barack's elementary school, and high school.
