Is A "Dream Ticket" Foreseeable -- Obama & Clinton?Minimize

On Tuesday, March 4th, I had the privilege to once again engage my right as a citizen of the United States by voting in the presidential primary. I had hoped my vote would have contributed to a win for Senator Barak Obama and thus insure him as the democratic presidential nominee. However, Sen. Hillary Clinton won both of the big states, Texas and Ohio, prolonging the procedure until a later date.

When this process started, it was assumed that the democratic nominee was the “birth right” of Sen. Clinton. And then this upstart, African-American junior senator from Illinois came on the scene and upset the plan. After the Iowa caucus, I wrote the blog on January 8th, “Can Obama Become President?” Many responded as skeptics, but here we are after Super-Tuesday with Sen. Obama leading with total delegates over Sen. Clinton.

Since neither of the candidates can win the 2024 delegates necessary to win the democratic nominee outright, the talk now is about a “dream ticket!” Either an ‘Obama-Clinton’ or ‘Clinton-Obama’ candidacy that many say would be unstoppable against the aged, Republican, Bush-minion, Sen. John McCain.

So, what are your thoughts? Regardless of who wins, do you see both Obama and Clinton eventually joining forces and working together as a President – Vice President democratic ticket?

It would be interesting to say the least of a Obama/Clinton ticket. I believe it would be an awsome combination. However I really don't see that happening. It would seem possible if Clinton would get the nomination to add Obama to the ticket. but I don't see Obama adding Clinton. Baring some unforseen obstacle Obama seems to have the nomination in sight. I still hold to my comment on a previous post on another thread.

So Bishop Allen, if Obama is the nominee, why don't you see him asking Clinton to be his running mate?

I am not saying Obama would not ask Clinton to be his running mate. What I am saying it is highly unlikely that he would ask her because of the perceived negative attacks by Clinton.Secondly, Obama does not see Clinton as a change agent. If Obama picks someone in line with his thinking, someone who will not be considered as a Washington insider business as usual person then he will be seen as a real agent of change.

I agree! Obama does not see Clinton as a agent of change.

Nepetism.... Father , Son, now Possible Husband and Wife........
Career politicions like the Clinton's and many others have their own self interest at heart. Hilarry is not a change agent, but Jesus is the only one who can bring effect change. It would be good,to haave someone in office who will not be a puppet of the media and previledged of the USA

It seems like this may happen despite the commentary of most political pundits. Barack has taken the high road and Hilliary has taken the low road. She will be his understudy in the White House for sure inspite of her attacks and negative polling. She is going up in the newset polls as the most negative candidate. This will drive her campaign to either reconcile to the dilimna of not having a Democratic nominee capture the big prize and at the same time tear up all her own personal creditbility that she's earned in her quest.
That's why the only way to regain is to concede the race to Obama before July 1 and beg to be on his ticket. I think he would accept that proposal to pick up all her voters and keep the party strong for the national election. It would bring full circle the "interracial" aspect of America and the CHANGE theme so many long for!
